If its general work you are after then there are a number of classified websites you can look through. The other way is to register with a recruitment agency. There are a lot of agencies in London, many of whom specialise in specific fields. Yazabo Tip: Its best to register with as many as possible, but keep looking yourself, don’t sit back and wait for them to call you. London is a huge market, you need to be proactive if you want to succeed. When applying for a position always tailor your CV to the advertised role, having a great cover letter explaining in a few sentences who you are and why they should choose you is one of the best ways to get noticed. The Interview Remember you only get one chance to make a first impression so dress appropriately. Make sure you know how to find the address and always check how long its going to take to get there. If your appointment is in the morning always give yourself extra time as journey times at rush hour often take longer and there can be delays. Yazabo tip: Type in the address to Google maps and print it off, that way when you get to the area you can find it easily. London is a big city and most people wont know the street you are looking for unless they work there themselves. If you are stuck the best person to ask is a black taxis driver as all drivers have to memorise the London map before being granted a licence.
