| The Foundling Museum tells the story of the Foundling Hospital, London’s first home for abandoned children, and of three major figures in British History: its campaigning founder the philanthropist Thomas Coram, the artist William Hogarth and the composer George Frideric Handel. The Museum’s remarkable, nationally-important collections of art, social history and music are housed in a restored and refurbished building adjacent to the original site of the Hospital.
Visit this unique, small museum for a truly engaging trip and finish it off with a meal or light refreshments in the popular Coram Café on the ground floor. The museum also runs an active events programme, some of which are free, check the website for details when planning your trip. |
